The Wooden Floor Store opened its doors for the first time in Belfast, Northern Ireland. From day one, the focus was on genuine flooring expertise, not just selling boxes off a shelf, and that reputation is what carried the business forward.

Just two years after launching, we crossed into Scotland with our first Glasgow showroom, marking the start of our growth beyond Northern Ireland. It set the template for every showroom that followed: knowledgeable staff, a full range on display, and no pressure to buy.

We began sourcing tile directly from Spain and Italy, building relationships with manufacturers that let us bring genuinely high-quality ranges to customers in Northern Ireland, ranges you wouldn't typically find on the UK high street.

Our growth continued south of the border with new showrooms in Manchester and Nottingham, bringing the same standard of expert advice and honest pricing to customers in England for the first time.

More than 25 years on, we've grown to ten showrooms across Scotland, Northern Ireland and England, five in Scotland, three in Northern Ireland, two in England, with more in the pipeline. Same values as that first Belfast store, just a lot more of them.
